LOMO MULTISCOPE BMH4-PH & TMH4-PH Phase Contrast LOMO Microscope - PH

LOMO MULTISCOPE BMH4-PH & TMH4-PH Phase Contrast LOMO Microscope - PHLOMO MULTISCOPE BMH4-PH & TMH4-PH Phase Contrast LOMO Microscope - PH -

TheBMH4-PHis a Phase Contrast version of LOMO'sMultiscope microscope.
Phase contrast gives this microscopethe capability of observing samples or parts of samples that are otherwiseindistinguishable from the background of the image in the microscope. Phasecontrast is widely used (quite possibly the most common contrast-enhancingtechnique) in the analysis of many biological samples, and is often used inforensics and animal breeding to identify and/or observe sperm motility andmorphology. This is the most common microscope that we sell to canineand equine breeders year after year! The Multiscope™ BMH4-PHis a microscope of quality, and, like all LOMO microscopes, is built to last alifetime and is protected by LOMO's LimitedLifetime Warranty.

The BMH4-PHincludes everything that the BMH4-BFdoes, withthe following exceptions/additions:

  • The BMH4-PH includes a phase contrast turret condenser instead of the brightfield abbe condenser. The phase contrast condenser has phase contrast annuli (rings) for 10x, 20x, 40x and 100 x phase objectives, as well as a brightfield position, contained in a centerable, rotating turret. The phase annuli can be easily centered using the included centering telescope CT-4 and the two knurled alignment knobs on the front of the condenser. The phase contrast condenser has an N.A. of 0.80, features a built-in aperture iris diaphragm and a swing in/out filter holder for 33mm filters.
  • The BMH4-PH includes 4 EAP series flat field achromat phase contrast objectives instead of the EAB series brightfield objectives that come standard on the BMH4-BF. The EAP objectives feature the same high quality and superb optics that LOMO has made famous. The EAP objectives can also be used for brightfield observations.
  • Since LOMO’s (and many other brands) phase contrast objectives are manufactured to provide optimal contrast and resolution using monochromatic green light (λ ≈ 546nm) a green filter is also included with all BMH4-PH microscopes.

Thereare manyother applications for BMH4-PH:
  • High School
  • College / University
  • Medical / Veterinary School
  • Clinical Applications
  • Physician's Office / Public Health
  • Veterinary Medicine
  • Biological Sciences
  • Agriculture / Aquaculture
  • Environmental Application
  • Food and Nutrition

Ifyou plan to take pictures or video, you will need a trinocular version of thismicroscope. In some cases our adapters can fit into an eyepiece tube on thebinocular head. However, we find this to be an inconvenience most of the timeand highly recommend a trinocular head for photomicrography. The TMH4-PH-V,F or E  is the trinocularversion of the BMH4-PH (-V comes with a 1.0x C-mount adapter for videocameras and some digital cameras, -F comes with a 2.4X T-mount adapter designedfor attaching 35mm cameras, and the –E comes with a telescoping DIN standard(23.2mm) eyepiece tube adapter for inserting our digital camera adapters or 3rdparty adapters) As with any of the items offered in our store, we encourageyou to email us withany questions info@opticsplanet.com!
